Photo Hunt: ROCKS

My favorite rocks are the Faraglioni, three large craggy rocks off the coastline of Capri.

In 2003, we sailed right through the opening.

Beautiful!

Also, thanks to you and Jerry, now I know the PhotoHunt theme. :)

Great photos, Palma. I have one very similar to your third photos. Ah, I miss Italy:sigh:

Amazing shots - it is nice to see the same 'topic' shot so many different ways!

Have a great weekend!

I like them, too. They are so ethereal. Did you know they have names? Just read this:

The rocks have each been given a name: the first, still attached to the land, is called Stella, the second, separated from the first block by a stretch of sea; Faraglione di Mezzo and the third, Faraglione di Fuori or Scopolo, in other words the head or promontory stretching into the sea.

I hate it when you don't blog, however, I know you need a break. I absolutely adore your blog. When we were in Italy right after 2000, we had no idea what to eat and spent 3 weeks eating basically pizza. I was too busy learning phrases to find out what to eat,and since my husband has an allergy to organ meats, it was pizza for us. I so want to go back

Barb Cabot:

That last photo...KILLER! I've been dreaming of that part of Italy recently.
