On our last night in Las Vegas, we wanted something different for dinner, so we decided to have bar food at the Mesa Grill. If you EVER turn on the Food Network, you recognize owner, Bobby Flay. An American celebrity chef, at age 44, he owns 9 restaurants, has written 8 cookbooks, hosts serveral TV shows:Throwdown! with Bobby Flay, Boy Meets Grill, Grill IT! with Bobby Flay, and BBQ with Bobby Flay. He is also one of five American IRON CHEFS! Bobby is known for BBQ and Southwestern flavors. We actually were able to meet him last May at "Vegas Uncorked". Here he is with co-Iron Chef Cat Cora:
We sat at the very attractive bar for shared appetizers and a glass of vine.
We tried the "Queso Fondito", a goat cheese fondu with roasted chilies, served with blue corn tortilla strips. Yummy, cheesy, spicy, oh my!
We also shared a "Blue Corn Pancake with Barbecued Duck in a Habanero Chile-Star Anise Sauce". We can see why Bobby is the King of BBQ!
We really enjoyed our Mesa grill experience!
