After writing about my mom buying pasta in bulk, I decided to do a little inventory. I found about 10 pounds of pasta in my pantry! There were 3 pounds of bucatini (my favorite), two pounds of penne, a box of orchette, two bags of gemelli, some truffled spaghetti, and the bag of fun pasta I bought in Little Italy two weeks ago that look like Roman Columns (Colonne di Pompei).

Pasta is a staple at our house. We typically have it once a week, or it is good for when I am dieting and having a salad, I can whip up something quickly for Brad. I sure wanted what HE had last week:salad, Italian sausage, and penne with vodka sauce!
The dried pasta pictured above is not the only pasta in the house. There is a frozen lamb lasagna, and some frozen gorgonzola ravioli too! In fact, it is almost time to make some pasta!

Wow! Love your selection. De Cecco - hard to find here but it is what I buy when I can find it.
