A week ago today, last Saturday morning, after a couple double lattes, we set out with Jerry and Paul to shop and walk around the Mercato in Little Italy. This is one of my favorite farmer's markets around. I love bringing home flats of figs in the summer, and the produce is always beautiful.

The market is fun in and of itself, but what could make it even better? Bumping into Slow Travel buddies on the street.

What better place for a photo than in "Amici Park"?

I think I could live here! Gelato, panini, and good coffee. As close to Italy as I can get in a short drive! It was too chilly for me, but the boys enjoyed their morning gelato snack.

Finally, Brad and I stopped for a relaxing lunch at Sogno di Vino. YUM...a mozzarella, prosciutto and fig jam panino!
