I love flying over the Alps shortly before landing in Italy. I landed in Bologna at 9:45 Saturday Italy time, and checked in to Hotel Porto San Mamolo for one night. Tomorrow I can move into my apartment. I was dead tired, but went straight to my favorite cafe for a latte to perk.
Then I walked around for 2 hours, and finally stopped for lunch.
I explored my apartment neighborhood a little, and came back to the hotel for a shower and a nap. It is sunny and warm and beautiful. I am SO happy to be in Italy!

So happy to read you got there with no glitches. Love reading about your arrival and that photo from the plane so beautiful. I just read Jan's blog. It makes me so happy to thing of all of you there...Sandi too and soon Jerry. Oh my goodness, love that feeling of being in Italy. The adventures begin.
