Palmabella's Passions

We had a leisurely morning of coffee and time on our respective laptops. We really need to find someone to take a photo of the three of us on my tiny terrace with three laptops, typing away in silence. I am blogging or reading, hhhrumph, OTHERS are on Facebook. I try not to use the word "addiction", as we all have our own issues! LOL

Jerry and Sandi took off for Ferrara, but I needed a day to wander freely in Bologna, as it is my LAST free day here without another commitment, or lesson, or time when stores are closed. I had a LOVELY unrushed morning!

I began with some shopping, and walked down Via Rizzoli, buying a gift, a purse, two linen blouses, and a necklace.

Then I spent a few quiet minutes in the cathedral of San Pietro. It is a beautiful church.

Next, I stopped for coffee and a pastry. This was filled with blueberry jam and crema, and the tiny sfogliatella was delicious!

I shopped up and down Via Hugo Bassi, and Via Independenza. I figured out some things about Brad's Italian cell phone with a stop at a TIM store.

I saw a cute GORGEOUS Masarati!

I walked to the gorgeous church San Francesco, but it was closed for lunch.

Lunch!!! It was a good idea. I stopped to rest and read with a lovely salad and prosciutto and fontina fritatta.

Time to come home for a brief nap...

It must be pretty funny to see all three of us in the apartment with our laptops. Sandi is Skyping Bill...

Jerry is playing Family Feud...

Palma is doing homework!

Tonight we had dinner at All'Osteria Bottega. We drank a bottle of Sangiovese.

My first course was tortellini in brodo: (capon broth)

We loved the cheese grater!

Then I ate delicious roast baby pork:
