I'm back at home in Palm Desert. THAT only took 39 hours!
We left our Rome hotel at 7:30 Monday morning, and I arrived in Palm Desert Tuesday afternoon!
My flight was supposed to board at 10:30 am. We boarded at 12:20. We made up an hour in the air, and I thought I would still make my flight from Charlotte to San Diego UNTIL we sat on the runway for 40 minutes in Charlotte. I missed them closing the doors by 10 minutes!
I overnighted at a nice Marriott, had dinner, a shower and slept until I was bright-eyed at 1:30 in the morning. Luckily there was a coffee pot in my room. I sat outside much of the night on a wooden rocker, reading my book. I returned at 5:15 for sunrise at the Charlotte airport, and all went well to San Diego where Brad was there to greet me. I've been away a LONG time!
I'll catch up on blogging soon. I had a ball in Rome!

I was wondering about you. Glad to hear you made it home. That was incredibly long 39 hrs. but then you are an incredible lady. Welcome Back. I know Brad is loving having you home again. Thank you for blogging and sharing your wonderful trip with us. I loved being in Italy with you through the blog.

I was worried also. Sorry you had to deal with airline delays and connection problems. Glad you were given a nice room at the Mariott. It must be nice to be back home even though I am sure you miss Italy already.
