For the past two weeks, we have had our July sizzling temperatures. That means lots of salad dinners at our house. At temperatures of 117, 116, 114, and today we are a "cooling down" 113, I am NOT doing much cooking.
Currently in my fridge you will find:
3 kinds of lettuce
arugula
zucchini
carrots
broccoli
melon
strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
grapes
chicken salad
tuna salad
egg salad
broccoli salad
corn salad
potato salad
We have had salad with shrimp, with grilled chicken, and with leftover grilled flank steak. Sometimes we have a spoon of several different salads.
No photos, no new recipes. Tonight, I feel like something different, so we are having PASTA. I think I can deal with boiling water for 10 minutes.

Salad dinners sound great in this weather! Can I come and raid your fridge?

I cook early or late and that's it. One day last week I cooked until 12 noon because of guests and it was 107°F and humid. I quit.
