No this is not a recipe! I've been PAINTING vegetables!
The last two Saturday mornings, I have taken an informal painting class at my friend, Maria's home with some others who enjoy watercolors. We are all relative beginners, with different styles, and we have a lot of fun painting together, and learning from each other. Maria is there to guide us along, or teach us a skill, or help us when we mess something up!

We set up a still life of some peppers, eggplant, zucchini, tomatoes and garlic. I added some balsamico. Shadows intimidated me completely! Here they are...
Gerta did some absolutely stunning huge pears!
At home I did a more whimsical version of "soffrito".
