Bassano Del Grappa

Bassano%20Clock.jpg

We left Verona Thursday morning for our next leg of our trip. We will use Bassano del Grappa as our base for five days. There is so much to see and do in the area.

Just a few kilometers from Bassano is a tiny ceramic town called Nove. We stopped for a wee bit of ceramic shopping. Those of you who have been to my house know there are Italian ceramics in almost every room, and I have little space left (especially in the kitchen) for any more. What I was looking for were some small serving pieces, for appetizers, jams, small bites, etc. I found EXACTLY what I had in mind!

I also bought some veggies! I LOVE the fennel! When have I EVER gotten out of a ceramic shop for under 100 Euro??? NEVER! Today's bill was 65Euro! With shipping to CA: 100 Euro!

Bassano is lovely. Here is Brad on the bridge, also called the Ponte Vecchio:

The Brenta River is beautiful.

We loved our first day of wandering around Bassano! Tomorrow: an incredible story of our new amici!
