Friday afternon, after Asiago, we stopped at another small town, Castelfranco, not far from Bassano for lunch. The central part of the town is surrounded by a castle wall and a moat. We began with lunch at Alle Torre.
I ordered a green tagliatelle with prosciutto, then baked with a cheese crust. Oh so yummy, but I couldn't eat half of it!
Brad really liked his "Pasta di Nonna" (a tomato sauce with prosciutto, marscapone and black olives).
After lunch, we wandered around the "inside" of town, then walked around the walled city along the moat. They were setting up for another pro loco on the weekend.
Then time for some wine and a very light dinner back in Bassano!
