After an appertivo near the Teatro Filarmonico, we entered the lovely Ristorante Il Cenacolo.

In the center for the dining room is a huge wood-burning fireplace for cooking meat. The tables are beautifully set, and there is the glow of candles around the room and on each table.

Our waiter was wonderful, and all the staff were charming and attentive, without rushing or being in the way. After our complimentary glass of prosecco, we shared an appetizer of grilled local cheese and grilled veggies.

Our entrees were tagliata con Amarone sauce for Brad and a filetto with Amarone sauce for me. Perfect!

After our wonderful dinner, we walked through town with many others on a busy Saturday night, ending up at Piazza Erbe for a coffee for me and grappa for Brad. Have I said how civilized this routine is? I love Verona, and we are SO happy to be in Italy!
