Palmabella's Passions

On Saturday mornings there is a big market in Bassano. We had a lazy morning of coffee, pastry, and wandering around the stalls.

We had a panino for lunch in anticipation of the big evening meal ahead. Then we took a ride to Vicenza to see the Villa Rotunda, built by Palladio. It was really wonderful on the inside, but no photographs were allowed. The rotunda was exquisite and quite over the top! Then we enjoyed a cup of afternoon coffee in the villa's caffe before driving back to Bassano for a grand dinner with our friends.
