We had a great night's sleep, but then I woke up about 5:30. By 6:00, I was wandering the streets around the hotel, waiting for the coffee room to open at 7:30. Here is the shopping street shortly after dawn.

Brad joined me at the breakfast room by 8:00, when I was on my second caffe latte. Then we walked...all over Verona! We saw quiet a bit before lunch time, including Saint Anastasia and of course, Giulietta's balcony.

We bought some wine, and window shopped in all the lovely stores.
We had a great lunch at Ristorante Liston. I had spinaci tortelli con gorgonzola dolce e noci, and Brad had prosciutto tortelloni. We enjoyed a bottle of I Fratti Lugana. YUM!

After lunch we took a nice nap before heading out for afternoon sights and dinner.
There was a band concert honoring the Carbinieri by the park near Piazza Bra.

The weather is perfect (75-79), the wine and food are great, and we're loving Verona!

Sigh.
I remember Verona about this time of year, supper was an enormous porcino cap grilled like a steak. Paradise.
Giulietta's balcony, I am deeply ashamed that I really want this to be true. Nearby is a biggish building with a frieze of animal heads = stock market.
