It is not often that your hotel is a destination in itself, but some properties are so special, they may be worth a splurge. For our five nights in Bassano, we were somewhat "roughing it" in a three star hotel that was under 100 euro a night. There was no breakfast (but a bar downstairs), no elevator (two flights up), and a VERY tiny bathroom. It was clean, friendly and it worked. NOW we are in the lap of luxury!
Our last 4 nights in the Veneto, we are in this wonderful property, Villa Abbazia. The details are amazing, the flowers lovely, and we have a delightful large terrace and beautiful grounds. THIS is a wonderful place to relax! Enjoy the small details.
