This Palladian villa is in the town of Maser, just outside of Asolo (60k from Venice).
We were lucky to visit on a day both the villa and grounds were open. No photos were allowed inside, but the frescos by Paolo Veronese were fabulous. The villa was built for Daniele Barbaro, and his brother Marc'antonio Barbaro, an ambassador of the Venetian Republic. Nice summer house, huh? In 1934, the villa was acquired by Giuseppe Volpi di Misurata who restored it. His granddaughter now lives there.

We love visiting villas and gardens when we go to Italy. This looks like a really nice one.
