Where can we have cool fall weather, a wine bar with music, great Italian food and charming hosts? Back in Italy of course, but we are in RENO, visiting our good friends, Fiona and Steve in their summer home!
We arrived Friday morning (a 4:30 a.m. departure from Palm Desert, flights from ONT to OAK, then OAK to RNO) before 10. The day began with exploring Fiona and Steve's neighborhood and beautiful home they purchased last spring. It is our first visit here, but is looking like it will have to become an annual event!
We have a charming guest room and bath, complete with a coffee pot, tray of beverages and snacks rivaling any 5 star hotel. Fiona fixed a great fall lunch of salad, melon, garlic bread, chicken and broccoli.
We had a wonderful Italian meal at Bella Vista.
Their community even has a wine bar with music on weekends! That was where we ended our evening. How cool! You can walk home in a block!
