Friday in Las Vegas: Rosemary's

Friday morning, while Jerry and Paul were off on their Valley of Fire tour, Brad and I had some retail therapy. I bought more baking sheets and cooling racks and a few other necessities for Palmabella's Cucina at Sur la Table. (While we were in Las Vegas, I got orders for 10 dozen appetizers for Saturday, so I will be needing them SOON!)

I needed a good coffee fix after all the shopping, so we caffinated at Aromi d'Italia.

We wandered around Fashion Show mall for a couple of hours and had my favorite burger at Stripburger. We relaxed all afternoon with a nap and some gambling.

"Brad's limo service" picked up the boys, and we were off to one of our favorite restaurants, Rosemary's, for dinner. I have blogged about Rosemary's in the past, but for those of you that are new here, it is way off the strip on Sahara, and SO worth the drive! It is located in an unassuming little strip mall between a Steinmart and a Dollar Store. What a find it has been for us for the past 9 years!

We began with an amuse bouche of vegetable bread pudding with onion marmalade.

My favorite appetizer is the BBQ shrimp with Maytag Blue Cheese slaw:

Brad ALWAYS has the sweetbreads:

Jerry had a beautiful plate of fresh figs stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in prosciutto:

and Paul enjoyed his Caesar salad:

My entree was some beautifully seared scallops in an apple cider beurre blanc with crispy parsnips and prosciutto:

Brad had the rack of lamb, and J&P had the halibut with garlic spinach, leeks and chive butter (not pictured).

Dessert? But where to put it? We managed! I had the lemon ice box pie with strawberry coulis in a martini glass.

You must be stuffed just looking at these photos. We were so happy Jerry and Paul enjoyed their Rosemary's experience as much as we hoped they would!

The night was young, so we gave Jerry and Paul a quick tour of the Wynn before returning to the Paris to gamble for POINTS!:

Rosemary's looks wonderful. The shrimp appetizer is so creative. BBQ, shrimp and blue cheese! I took a look at the menu on-line. I love how they pair up not only wine but also the beers. And great beers also.

Oh how I love Rosemary's too!! I am so envious!! The shrimp and the sweetbreads are my favorite!! Do your realize it's over 8yrs since we were there with you two!!
