I promised a photo of our Italy Christmas tree, so here we go.

It is a 9' tree, so it requires a LOT of ornaments. We have been collecting "Italian looking" ornaments for 4 years. Some were purchased IN Italy, others on the internet, catalogs or at Gumps in San Francisco, Sur La Table, and even Nordstrom. We are always on the lookout for anything that says, "Rome, Venice, Tuscany" or REMINDS us of Italy.
This year's NEW ornaments include this "postcard from Rome", a gondolier, a "Balsamico Bottle", and a painted scene of Bassano del Grappa.

there are sections on the tree for different regions we have visited. There is olive oil, Deruta ceramics, and a sunflower in the Umbria section; a Tuscan Santa, painted poppies and a cinghale in Tuscany; and a prosciutto and tortellini in Emilia-Romagna.
There is a whole wine section, including Pinot Grigio, Chianti and Prosecco.
To fill in SO much space on a large tree, and have it full of ornaments, we have added many small frame ornaments. We have photos of all of our friends who LIVE in Italy, or friends we have BEEN to Italy with, or friends we MET in Italy. Are YOU on our Italy tree? These friends are!

I love the fact that you have your Italy tree all in sections and provinces!' it's a lovely tree.
And I am very honoured to have a place in the friends section!
Merry, Merry Christmas to you all.

Brilliant - sadly some of our Italy ornaments didn't survive the tree crash. *pout*
However, in the spirit of the glass being half full . . . I now have more reasons to return!
Have fun tonight!

I love your tree! We collect ornaments from each place we travel, but don't have nearly as many. I look forward to having enough for a whole tree!

Merry Christmas Palma, Brad and Luigi! Love the tree, it is beautiful and so are the ornaments! The balsamic vinegar bottle is adorable; good to see that it is organic :)
