Tonight, Thursday, was my Book Club Holiday Party. We decided to have dinner and include our husbands. Brad and I hosted. I am too tired to blog, as it has been a LONG day of cooking, but here is one of my desserts: a Happy New Year Cake! It is a three-layer butter cake with Dulce de Leche filling, and a cream cheese-caramel buttercream.

Palma love the cake. Looks so festive and happy! This is a funny thing I wanted to share not related to the cake. In the car I started telling Daniele and Aria about "Luigi". I asked him if that was still a popular name for babies. He said he thought so but then he said, that's funny that your friend chose an italian name for a dog. It's the same in Italy only we use American names. I said give me an example of a popular name italians choose for their dog. He said, "Bob"!
