Happy New Year Cake

Tonight, Thursday, was my Book Club Holiday Party. We decided to have dinner and include our husbands. Brad and I hosted. I am too tired to blog, as it has been a LONG day of cooking, but here is one of my desserts: a Happy New Year Cake! It is a three-layer butter cake with Dulce de Leche filling, and a cream cheese-caramel buttercream.

Jo:

Happy New Year to you and your husband! I enjoy checking your blog everyday and you are always so faithful to have something interesting waiting every time. Thank you for sharing your travel stories and all your cooking endeavors! Looking forward to getting to know Luigi this coming year.

Barb Cabot:

Palma love the cake. Looks so festive and happy! This is a funny thing I wanted to share not related to the cake. In the car I started telling Daniele and Aria about "Luigi". I asked him if that was still a popular name for babies. He said he thought so but then he said, that's funny that your friend chose an italian name for a dog. It's the same in Italy only we use American names. I said give me an example of a popular name italians choose for their dog. He said, "Bob"!

Barb,

That is a riot!

It's always an error for dieters to visit your blog. Palma.

Shall be in the USA from 13 Jan till 2 March!

Rita:

Tutto molto appetitoso.
Complimenti!!
