I don't typically think of brownies as a Christmas cookie, but after baking 21 other kinds of cookies, I decided to go easy on myself. This was the second to the LAST batch!
Use your favorite brownie recipe (or even a mix) and pour HALF of batter in a 9x13 pan lined with foil. Unwrap three large, flat Hershey bars and lay them on top. Spread the other half of brownie batter on top of chocolate bars. Bake according to recipe. Cool.
In a saucepan, melt 40 Kraft Caramels with 2 T. milk until smooth. Spread over cooled brownies.
Top with toasted pecans.
Melt 1 cup chocolate chips over boiling water in a double boiler. Stir until smooth.
Pour melted chocolate into a ziplock bag and seal. Snip a corner, and decorate brownies with chocolate drizzle.
These are the most decadent brownies ever! When cool, cut into squares, then cut each square in half to make triangles.
