Another great Nutella Treat! I brought these to our staff meeting Wednesday, and immediately got an order for 3 dozen for Valentine's Day.
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter
1 package (10 oz.) regular marshmallows or 4 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup Nutella
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
Directions:
Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and stir in Nutella until melted.
Add cereal. Stir with a wooden spoon or spatula until well coated.
Evenly press mixture into a baking sheet or a 13 x 9-inch pan coated with nonstick cooking spray. Cool and cut into 2-inch squares or desired shapes.
These are great just the way they are, but I went over-the top by decorating my heart-shaped treats with a Nutella buttercream frosting:
1/2 stick butter
1/4 c. butter flavored shortening
1/4 c. Nutella
1 1/4 c. powdered sugar
Blend first three ingredients, then add powdered sugar and beat until smooth. Using an icing bag and star tip, decorate hearts.
