The garganelli were finished, the water was boiling, and my sausage sauce was simmering. That chef hat did a great job of covering my gauze turban! In 7 minutes, we had a huge bowl of pasta, and were ready to eat!
Dinner was just a salad with fennel and Cara Cara oranges in a blood orange vinaigrette, and huge bowls of hot pasta!

Each couple was rewarded for their labor with a leftover tub of pasta to take home!
After dinner we moved to the patio, as it was a beautiful evening. We took a break before dessert. I then walked out with a plate of "spaghetti and meatballs". Well, it was my CAKE that looked like a plate of spaghetti and meatballs. (Chocolate cake, "meatballs" made from cake crumbs, frosting tinted slightly yellow for the spaghetti, strawberry puree for the "sauce", and shaved white chocolate for the "cheese".)

I served the cake with green chocolate cups with vanilla ice cream and home made raspberry gelato.

Party favors were Italian Flag sunglasses!
