It was impulsive. I have been saving and saving and saving. With a "You only live once" attitude, we decided on a fall trip to Italy. Then the puzzle pieces fell into place. We will fly NONSTOP (OMG that NEVER happens!) from LAX to FCO on Alitalia.
Our first 5 nights, and our anniversary will be in Ascoli Piceno at the Residenza 100 Torri.

From there we will drive north and explore Urbano and the surrounding area, spending 5 nights at Locanda della Valle Nuova!

We will end our trip with 5 relaxing days at Fontana del Papa, outside of Rome.

The only thing I love more than returning to favorite places in Italy, is finding some new favorite places!

Sounds like another dream vacation. I'm sure you derive almost as much pleasure in the research and planning stages. I know I do...it's all so exciting. So happy for you.

Oh such great memories of our time at Fontana del Papa. At the time my son only ate 3 things so I brought a jar of peanutbutter for bread and the owner told me to put it away and got him to eat pasta...with truffles!
Great time!

What a fabulous trip! The food at Fontana del Papa is awesome -- you will love it. Are you cooking with them too?

Great news Palma! You and Brad deserve it. You are absolutely right to go, while you are healthy and active.
You will love Ascoli Piceno! It is one of my very favorite places, the perfect small city with one of the most beautiful piazzas in Italy. No Furla store though...;-)

Hi Palma,
How great! We are doing a similar trip also for our anniversary and my birthday. For our stay in Ascoli Piceno we are also staying at Residenza 100 Torre. It looks really pretty. I can't wait to eat those meat stuffed fried olives. Yum! Happy trip planning. 33 days and counting down.
