As many of you know, I am not one for "packing light". LOL
I will be in Italy for 4 weeks. The first week I'll be in Venice with my GrapeHops buddies. Everything I need for the week is, are you ready? in a 20" carry-on bag!!!!!
In this little bag, I managed to pack:
Three pair of capris (wearing jeans on the plane)
12 tops
4 cardigans
2 pair sandals
underwear
pajamas
umbrella
Then I have 2 weeks in Bologna and 4 nights in Varenna and a night in Milano.
In the BIG BAG (I need to say, "God bless Briggs & Riley luggage") I have:
5 pair pants/capris
17 tops
2 skirts
2 dresses
2 cardigans
3 pair shoes/sandals
2 purses
underwear
cosmetics/makeup
2 shawls
2 more hats
stuff for our group
My "personal item" is a large quilted bag which will contain my pillow (I need it on the flight), my purse with new i-Pad 2 inside, camera, jewelry, Italian cell phone, a hat for the sun, and snacks for the plane.
I am still contemplating bringing my paints and watercolor paper for my down time in Bologna and Lake Como!
Brad will be bringing more chargers/adapters, three of my shirts and the GPS!

Okay-I have a question-is Brad bringing the big bag when he flies over or are you taking with you?!

I love that you are so organized. I hope to one day become a list maker, too. We haven't made a trip to Europe, yet, but hope to go one day soon. For now, I pack light and try to remember that most every town has a WalMart and every cruise ship has a laundry service.

I am taking the BIG bag (checked), the 20"
roller bag (carry-on), and the quilted tote with purse in it (personal item). Piece of cake. The Briggs & Riley bags hook to each other. I'll still have one hand free!
I just need to get from the Venice airport, on the alilingua to my vaporetto stop, where Shannon is meeting me.

am wondering what kind of camera you use for those beautiful pictures. I think you've mentioned it before but can't remember.
Thx
