Monday in Bologna

Monday morning, Nancy and Barbara, two more of our guests, arrived. They both decided on naps after their long travels. Brad and I took off to do some errands and a little shopping. I found two great tops, and we got the last of our group errands accomplished. We stopped for a glass of wine and a snack at Zanarini.

We all met at 4:00 and we walked our guests to Piazza Maggiore, stopping for a glass or two of wine.

They saw some of the beautiful portici, and learned the route to and from the hotel.

Soon it was time for dinner at Al 15. We began with a platter of assorted antipasti, and wonderful fried puffs of dough called crescentina.

I ordered three different pasta dishes for the table. We had Tagliatelle with Bolognese Sauce, Pasta with quattro formaggi, and tortelloni with butter and sage:

It was a lovely first evening of getting to know our new friends, Nancy and Barbara! From there, we wandered for some gelato before bed.
