After our tour of the Rialto Fish Market with Lolo, we walked a little bit with Nan who told us about rowing and showed us some lovely spots in the neighborhood.

Soon, we were at Lolo's wonderful restaurant, Al Fontego dei Pescatori, in Cannaregio.

We actually began with an olive oil tasting of oil from 3 different regions. Next came an assortment of seafood, and three white wines!

We began with bacala (cod fish) on polenta and tiny crispy fried shrimp in paper cones.

Next came a delicious octopus salad. I was a tiny bit hesitant, but I LOVED it!

Lagoon shrimp that easily pull right out of their shells:

Our pasta course included a heavenly seafood risotto, and spaghetti in anchovy sauce. I could have licked my plate!

Sweet and Sour Sardines with onions, raisins and pine nuts, oh my!

Lots of grilled veggies and three wines to drink. Yes, we enjoyed this lunch!

That evening, we attended a Slow Travel Get-Together at a lovely house on the Grand Canal being rented by Jeremy and Pat. See the room at the top? GREAT VIEWS!
