We awoke to a final shower, then sunshine and the clarity that comes after a summer rainfall.

After breakfast and an early morning walk, we returned to our room where I painted, and Brad read his book. We decided to have Sunday pranzo at Il Cavatappi. Since "cavatappi" means "corkscrew", they were everywhere!

The menu is as small as the tiny restaurant, but everything is delicious. Brad had duck and I had lamb chops, both with roasted rosemary potatoes. YUM!

Our host and chef, Mario was also charming and friendly.

We ended our meal with espresso and shared a slice of a heavenly hazelnut torte!
