I always pack too early. The luggage was packed and weighed last week. (I must pack so I can weigh and then go from there!)
Last Thursday, I was snuggled in bed and I had a thought. The day before, my bag weighed exactly 50 pounds, and Brad's was 49. We were almost at the limit for weight, but then I had a BRAINSTORM! I decided to take out everything BLACK!
I deleted black capris, black slacks, and dressy black pants. Then I took out black shoes, black sandals and a big black purse. I took out a black cardigan, a black pashmina and 5 tops that go with black.
I added a pair of dressy brown pants, and three tops that go with brown. I ended up getting rid of a total of 8 pounds! Whoo Hoo. I still have plenty to wear, and some nice outfits for evening. Brown is my new black!
We're off to LAX today. Hope Luigi is good for the new dog/housesitter!
