I am insane!
I leave for Italy in a day, and I am decorating cupcakes for my group and the September staff meeting at work! Well, when you are going to Italy, life IS a beach! It's the last of summer, so why not celebrate?
I made vanilla cupcakes and some butter cream frosting. I colored half the frosting aqua. I spread half of each cupcake with white frosting and dipped them in some natural sugar (for sand), and using a pastry bag, made "water" with the blue frosting.
Top each cupcake with a little drink umbrella, a gumball (beach ball) and make a "beach chair" out of a piece of chewing gum, or I used some striped sour fruit candy and 2 toothpicks!
