After breakfast, we headed to the beach town of San Benedetto del Tronto, about 30 minutes west of Ascoli. On the way, we stopped along the road where a "shepherd boy" with a cane, was tending his sheep!!!. NOT being a country girl, I have never seen a flock of sheep up close! They were very cute and noisy!
It was market day in the centro where there were blocks and blocks of vendors.
The best part was a line-up of porchetta trucks! The rain began to fall, so we ducked into a caffe to wait out the shower, and after our coffee, we were able to walk around, and grab porchetta panini before the next downpour.
We had a nice nap appertivi at our favorite Bar Lori. Finally our "last night in Ascoli" dinner at Gallo d'Oro was fabulous!
