Yesterday, we had a little good-bye lunch for Rossella, who has been visiting her cousins, Linda and Ed. In the past couple of months, we have had several visits with this young woman from southern Italy, and have come to be very fond of her. She has embraced the southern California lifestyle, and enjoyed our sunny desert weather (except for yesterday's horrible wind). On the way to lunch, she came by to say good-bye to Luigi, and see our holiday decorations. She took photos of our traditional tree (our Italy tree is not decorated yet), tables, and got cookie recipes. She made her first pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving, and promises her family some at home during Christmas! Next she wants to make bagels, as she became quite fond of them during her stay!
Rossella is interviewing for a job in Rome, and we hope to see her next June in Italy!
