This is an old favorite I make every year. This year I made 136 of them! It is another simple recipe for a pretty and delicious treat.
2 8 oz. packages of cream cheese (room temp)
3/4 c. powdered sugar
20 Oreo cookies (Double Stuff, of course)
White, red and green candy melts
Put cookies in food processor and crumble. Some small chunks are OK. Add cream cheese and powdered sugar. Blend well. Refrigerate until firm. Scoop small teaspoons of dough and roll into balls with your hands. Place them on a waxed paper lined cookie sheet, and chill again. Dip into melted white candy melts, and place on another waxed paper lined cookie sheet. Chill to harden coating. Melt a few red candy melts, and pour into a small ziplock bag. Cut off tip to drizzle over white truffles. Repeat with green.
