
This is the LAST of the leftover pound cake! I cut 1" slices, and got 2 hearts from each.

Icing:
4 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. water
1 t. clear vanilla
1/2 t. almond extract
Over a double boiler, heat all ingredients and whisk until warm and smooth. Divide into small cups and tint with gel food coloring. Add a t. of warm water to thin to pouring consistency.

Pour over cakes on a wire rack with waxed paper under it. Icing may by scraped off waxed paper to reuse on next cake of the same color. Let dry. Use an icing bag and tip to write Sweet Heart messages.
