Our friend, Roxanne, arrived last Wednesday from the Bay area. Wednesday night we had tilapia for dinner, and Thursday evening, due to a big lunch, we went to our local wine bar and had appetizers for dinner: Roxanne had brie in puff pastry with a salad, Brad had a cheese and salumi board, and I had crispy duck wings. It was a fun evening.

Roxanne and Brad shared a caramel tart: shortbread crust, filled with caramel and topped with chocolate, marshmallow and almond toffee!

That caramel tart looks tasty...We need to take a trip to the wine bar next time we come down.
