Our friends, Diana and Maggie, came for dinner and to meet Shannon before joining her in Venice for their May Grape Hops Tour. We began with an Aperol spritz and antipasti: Parmigiano, salami, cheese from Piemonte and burrata with olive oil and sea salt.
The next course was deep dish lasagna, salad and garlic bread.
Our entree was chicken breasts stuffed with asparagus and smoked gouda, and crispy zucchini.
Dessert: Chocolate-Caramel Trifle!
We had a very fun evening with great people and lots of food and wine. We will all be together for dinner soon in Venice!
Layer brownies, chocolate pudding made with Bailey's Caramel Cream, whipped cream, caramel sauce and chopped Skor bars. Repeat three times!
