Brad gave me this spice set about 14 years ago, (before we were married), and it has sat on my kitchen counter ever since. The 40 spices and dried herbs are in glass "test tubes". I used many of the spices in the first few years, and even refilled some of the often-used ones, but not so much in the past few years, as they are OLD! I still couldn't bear to part with it, and it was a VERY cool gift from Dean and Deluca.

This morning, I DUMPED all the spices, and cleaned all the test tubes in hot soapy water. I have repurposed this. What do you think?

Barb Cabot:

Genius! So nice to look at with all the bright blooms...a kind of tribute to your ever blooming romance.

Love, love, love!!!

How beautiful! Great idea - I love "repurposing"!

As an ex-lab-tech I can truely say that I have never seen a more lovely way to use a rack of test tubes! You've got the touch, Lady.

Very cool! You are so clever!

Palma, you just honored Earth Day! Very clever!
