The great part of returning to the same place each year is seeing old friends who live in Italy. My language teacher, Andrea and his wife, Daniele joined us for dinner on Saturday, and we returned to the beautiful winery, Palazzona di Maggio, for wine tasting and a visit with Antonella.

What a nice surprise to check in on your blog and see a photo of Andrea and Daniela! They look wonderful. Glad you were able to get together with them. I just wrote to Andrea after the earthquake to make sure all was ok. Glad there was no damage in Bologna!
Been following your travels (just haven't been commenting) and was thrilled once you arrived in Bologna, seeing your beautiful photos of one of my favorite cities in Italy.
