Another wonderful day in Venice! After breakfast we hopped on a vaparetto to P. Roma, another to Fondemente Nuova, and yet another to Burano. It was great to have a sunny day after yesterday's rain!

We wandered for a little while and grabbed a quick lunch and of course, some Bussola cookies before taking the vaparetto to Torcello. Last year, on my Grape Hops tour, Torcello was magical for me. I wanted to share it with Brad. This time, of course we did not arrive by private boat, but on the brick path from the vaparetto with all the other tourists.
I have exactly the same shot from last May of grapes and poppies in this private garden across from the church. How beautiful and peaceful Torcello is with its 20 inhabitants!

We walked back from F. Nuova to the Rialto, and took a short afternoon break. Soon it was happy hour in my favorite Venice Campo: San Jacamo da L' Orio. What a fabulous neighborhood gathering place for all ages! If I could live in Venice, I'd want to be right HERE!

Dinner was a cicchetti feast and wine at Ruga Rialto!
