On our last evening in Bologna, we have dinner at one of the first restaurants I came to love in the neighborhood of the apartment where I stayed to study Italian. As you know, each area of Italy has different cuisine, and this one focuses on Romagnola food. We enjoyed this amazing meal at Antica Osteria Romagnola.
We were served a variety of appetizers, including some fresh mozzarella, thinly sliced mortadella, and amazing cippolini onions in balsamico.

Then we were served a trio of primi: ravioli with potato, leeks, and balsamico; asparagus lasagna, and a vegetable risotto with smoked cheese. They were both beautiful and delicious!

The secondi were all amazing dishes: mostly a feast of PORK!

It was the perfect ending to a fabulous week in Bologna with new "forever friends"!
