Where else but Le Marche could you have this day? Wake up to a beautiful blue sky, and drive or walk through woodsy rolling hills with horses and cattle within a block. Mountains, the greenest fields, wheat, hillsides with poppies, views like this:

and around the next curve, views like this:

We stopped for a coffee, the church bells rang 12:00 noon, the priest came out of the church door, and blessed 30 tractors lined up in front of the church before the famous
Tractor Parade!

Twenty minutes later, we were eating the BEST tagliatelle in the world in a beautiful tiny little town called Santarcangelo di Romagna.

We drove Diane and Frank back to Bologna for their morning flight tomorrow. We so enjoyed their company for the past 10 days! The bonus is two new good friends!

Every time I have left Le Marche, I have cried. What a nice tribute to such a special region.
That pasta looks fantastic!
