It was our last full day in Italy. It began with a beautiful sunrise view from our hotel room.
After breakfast, we walked to the opposite end of town to visit the Basilica di San Antonio. We arrived well before the crowds and buses, and had a cup of coffee on the piazza.
The church is truly amazing, inside and out!
We wandered the main streets some more, had pizza for lunch, and did some shopping. We returned to the hotel for a nap and a shower, and some final packing.
Dinner was at a place we found through Chowhound: Trattoria da Nane Della Giulia.
We shared tender chunks of pork in a tomato sauce, and grilled spicy sausage with grilled veggies. For dessert, we shared a berry crisp. YUM! The next day was LONG flights home and back to reality.
