Yesterday we took a drive to the little mountain community of Idyllwild, known for it's art community, and jazz festival. We had brunch at Cafe Aroma.
Federico thought it was the first time since he's been here that he has seen "regular trees" (as opposed to Palm Trees).
Though only an hour away, as we climbed to 6000 feet in elevation, the temperature dropped 25 degrees to a lovely 80!

I've never been there. Thank you for this reminder of another nice getaway not too far away. Looks like you had perfect weather.

Bet that you would like to stay for awhile, I see that it's supposed to be 107 today. How does Federico like the heat?
