Last Sunday we took a drive to San Diego for Little Italy's Festa Italiana. We typically go to the Reno Italian festival, but it is too far to drive up and back in a weekend, so we decided to try one closer to home. We were somewhat disappointed in the booths which were not much different than a regular craft fair anywhere, and most had nothing ITALIAN! We only stayed a couple of hours.
Brad headed straight for the cars, and Federico went to the Vespas.

While Federico wandered to eat a sausage sandwich and slice of pizza, Brad and I had a snack in an outdoor restaurant.

We all really enjoyed the street chalk artists (more on that tomorrow) using Italian Gesso on areas of black pavement.

We headed to the mall, then a nice visit with Shannon in her new home. We were back in the desert by dinner time.

I just took a look at the chalk art and working my way backward. You look so cute with your scarf. The chalk art was amazing. Glad you got to see Shannon's new digs. Love your getaways!
