Desert Italian Festival 2012

It was a beautiful day on Saturday for the second annual Italian Festival in Rancho Mirage. It is sponsored by Desert Arc, an organization that helps people with physical and mental disabilities.

The crowds were bigger than last year, and there were more booths and activities. We saw several friends from our Italian Meet-up Group, and ran into Slow Travel friends, Nancy and Bill. Nancy recognized Federico with his plate of pizza, and followed him back to us! We had lunch, wandered the booths, and enjoyed the festival.
