Palmabella's Passions

We spent a LOT of time (almost every day) at one of our favorite caffes near my favorite church in Rome: Santa Maria della Pace. After Brad dropped off some laundry, we set out for a long walk. (We have spent a lot of sick time in the apartment trying to get rid of our nasty colds and coughs.)

First, we headed to the Vatican to see the presepe. It is an amazing scene all hand-made in Basilicata.

We took a taxi to Piazza del Popolo and walked along the beautifully decorated Via del Babuino and Via Margutta:

We stopped for lunch after completing our shopping. I had an asparagus-ricotta flan with pesto, and Brad had a delicious hot chicken salad with emmenthal cheese and oranges.

We ended our walk at the Spanish Steps and took a taxi home!
