We had a good laugh today wandering around Rome in the crisp, cold sunshine. What does a half unemployeed couple with no extra money do for Christmas? Go shopping on Via Condotti, have a nice lunch outside, and come back to our hood with three shopping bags for some afternoon wine. We started shopping at 10:00 and returned at 4:00. This is the life.
We took a nap, then had friends over for some wine (Rosella and Amir), and Jerry and Paul arrived. We enjoyed a great dinner while the boys relaxed and unpacked. I had spaghetti cacio e pepe and roasted maiolino, while Brad enjoyed his stuffed zucchini blossoms with anchovies and veal saltimbocca. It was a great day! I even have a large Furla shopping bag in my room!

Palma and Brad the photo of the penguins reminded me of the Pilot's Wife quote and the penguin figurines in your bedroom sometime ago.

Love the Big Santa picture.........PalmaBella, you look like a little munchkin. Oh, and is that Wine Santa is holding the one you enjoyed? Seems the perfect size for a perfect day.
