A funny thing happened this week. On Tuesday, one of my interns, Nora, brought me a bag of fresh figs. Yum!
On Wednesday, another intern, Laura, brought me an even bigger bag of figs. I made a fig tart!
On Friday, I had had lunch with my friend, Madonna. Guess what she brought me a shopping bag full of? At her suggestion, I peeled and threw them in the food processor. I added a splash of lemon juice, a spoon of vanilla, and a squeeze of honey, processing them into a delicious fig sauce. Try it over Greek yogurt for breakfast!
