Saturday in Carmel Valley and Spanish Bay

Saturday morning, we got an early start to meet our old friends, Lynn and Gary for breakfast. Then we did some shopping, and headed to Carmel Valley for lunch with the Slow Travel Gang at Corkscrew Cafe. We sat at a charming outdoor table with umbrellas on either end for some shade on the warm afternoon.

Brad and I had a pear salad and a fig pizza! YUM! I loved the presentation for my cappuccino!

Later, we joined the group at 6:30 at Spanish Bay for drinks and our tradition of seeing the bagpipe while having drinks around the fire pits on the patio.

I LOVE the bagpiper and fire pits at Spanish Bay! What a wonderful way to end such a fun weekend.

Another great gathering in Monterey!
