It was epic last weekend, just beautiful. I had some thoughts of going to Joshua Tree National Park but thought it might be too hot. I just looked up the weather, low of 50 high of 72, I think we will go that's perfect!.
I invited my sister,Peg is coming, my almost 12 year old nephew and several of my hiking and running buddies. Joshua sits north of Palm springs and east of LA. High desert views over to the peaks of San Jacinto make it a fabulous hike. I won't be running although I'll be tempted its rather flat compared to most of the stuff I do.
We will be hiking the Boy Scout trail round trip so 16 miles with just maybe 3000 of gain.
